Amin rejette d’abord l’accusation mais il se sent peu à peu envahi par le doute. Ses pires craintes sont confirmées quand il reçoit une lettre posthume de sa femme, lui confirmant son acte. Brisé par cette révélation et désirant comprendre comment il a été incapable de déceler ses intentions, Amin décide de se rendre dans les Territoires palestiniens pour rechercher ceux qu’il imagine avoir recruté sa femme. Là, Amin va plonger dans un univers dangereux où il n’est pas le bienvenu, sans se soucier de sa sécurité, à la recherche de la vérité…

Amin Jaafari is an Israeli Palestinian surgeon fully assimilated into Tel Aviv society. He has a loving wife, an exemplary career, and many Jewish friends. But his picture perfect life is turned upside down when a suicide bombing in a restaurant leaves nineteen dead, and the Israeli police inform him that his wife Sihem, who also died in the explosion, was responsible. Convinced that the offi cial police report is wrong, Amin completely rejects the accusation at fi rst.
